We are proud to recognize the dedication and leadership of our principals, who guide our schools with unwavering commitment to student success. In honor of National Principals Month, we are spotlighting our incredible principal cohorts throughout October.

Each week, we will highlight a message from each of the school teams for their principals, who work tirelessly to create thriving, inclusive and academically rigorous environments for all YES Prep students.

NORTH FOREST ELEMENTARY

Dr. Woodard said YES to YES Prep!  She has done an amazing job of embracing the work of NFE. She is winning over the community and this is making a difference in the work she does!

EAST END ELEMENTARY

Brian has created incredible systems that help EEE run smoothly.  He has a close bond with his leadership team and his willingness to help others outside his campus is making a difference!

SOUTHWEST OAKS ELEMENTARY

Ibia took the challenge to be a founding principal! Her meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills make a significant difference in the work she does! Her efforts contribute to a more efficient and supportive environment for her students.

HOBBY ELEMENTARY

Ah-Tavia took the journey of becoming a founding principal! She has a strong bond with her leadership team and consistently prioritizes the needs of her staff. Anyone who walks in her building feels acknowledged and valued.

GULFTON SECONDARY

As a principal, Cintia's most proud accomplishment is keeping a consistent director’s team for 3 years and seeing the growth in their leadership that has cascaded down to a more effective leadership team.

HOBBY SECONDARY

Adrienne leads with joy, authenticity and celebration. She proudly grew her campus and increased achievement in every academic domain with the support of a dedicated, veteran AP team and an excellent, joyous staff who have been together throughout the founding of our high school.

BRAYS OAKS SECONDARY

Selina's greatest accomplishment as a Principal has been the Directors' Team she's built. It is student-focused and mission-aligned, and that recognizes that the work we do is people-work. We have a foundation of trust and when it is time to collaborate, we embody "One Brays, One Sound." Our team enjoys the work we do alongside each other, and are so honored to work with each other.

WEST SECONDARY

Under her leadership, our campus has seen remarkable growth, including her commitment to fostering leadership and optimizing student success through innovative initiatives like AP for All has truly transformed our school community.

SOUTHSIDE SECONDARY

The growth and retention of our teachers is one of Principal Moore's great achievement; it reflects not only our commitment to professional development but also the supportive environment we've created. We are proud of the sense of pride that permeates throughout our school community.
